Last night I had the pleasure of attending Hungry Pants‘ Media Preview, and BOY did I have an amazing time.
I was so excited to be one of the first to dine at Hungry Pants and a quick look at the menu told me I definitely wouldn’t be disappointed. Rosie partnered with owners Joey & Alex to host an amazing evening. From the minute I walked in the door, I immediately fell in love with the pink floors, adorable plantlife, and the beautiful mural which adorned the walls.
I started the night with a delicious glass of rose (ALL DAY) and sampled different bites put out for our tasting. First stop on my plate tour of Hungry Pants: Le Grande Aioli. This garlic cilantro aioli was one of the BEST things I had all night. And, best part? IT’S VEGAN. I hope this doesn’t come across the wrong way, but it definitely doesn’t taste vegan and I definitely may have inhaled the entire platter.
Next up: The Mezze Plate. Olives, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers and pita with hummus, tzatziki, and muhammara. I’ve never tried muhammara before, but I cannot wait to have it again!
For my entree, I chose the Turmeric Tahini Noodz: udon noodles coated in a turmeric tahini sauce with peppers, carrots, cabbage, and kale.
I added a side of chicken to my noodle bowl and it was the perfect size & amount to fill me up! I wasn’t expecting the noodles to be cold, but being the carb-ivore I am, I don’t discriminate when it comes to pasta.
As my side, I chose the Saucy Brussels and I’m so glad I did. These brussel sprouts are what veggie dreams are made of.
For dessert I ended the night with the Sour Orange on South pie. I really didn’t think it would be my cup of tea but boy was I wrong. Sweet, with a bit of savory in the pie crust and creamy. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to an awesome night.
Owners Joey & Alex have created an amazing restaurant that not only has delicious food but a a friendly & fun vibe that I can’t wait to go back to!
And a note to all meat lovers: do NOT beware. Hungry Pants caters to carnivores, herbivores, and even carbivores like myself!
