I love me some Annie’s Mac & cheese as much as the next basic betch, but sometimes homemade Mac and cheese just hits the spot (& it makes you look like you are WAY more talented in the kitchen than you might be). This 6 ingredient white cheddar Mac & cheese is quick, easy, and it’s nearly impossible to mess up.

Ingredients
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 1/3 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of 2% milk
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 2.5 cups of freshly shredded white cheddar
- 1 box of pasta – Cavatappi is my favorite with this recipe however I think you could use any pasta that you’re in the mood for!
Directions
Melt butter over medium high heat. Once the butter is melted, add flour and whisk together. Add milk and heavy cream, season with salt and pepper and turn heat to medium. After about 2-3 minutes, add white cheddar and whisk until melted. Turn heat to low, and add salt & pepper.
Once pasta has finished cooking, add directly to sauce and stir to combine. Then, ENJOY!
